The art and science of the interrelational process between awareness, biological function and environment, all three factors being understood as a synergistic whole: The field of Somatics Integrity: n. The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness. Somatic Psychology: is an interdisciplinary field involving the study of the body, somatic experience, and the embodied self, including therapeutic and holistic approaches to body. The word somatic comes from the ancient Greek somat (living body). The word psychology comes from the ancient Greek psyche (breath, soul hence mind) and logia (study) Somatic Integrity: is an innovative approach to body-mind awareness and our relationship to biological and environmental dynamics applied to counseling, psychotherapy, and education.
